Dermal fillers are gel like substances injected beneath the skin to restore volume loss, smooth line, soften creases, enhance facial contour lines, liquid rhinoplasty. They are a very cost-effective way to look younger without the downtime and cost of plastic surgery.
There are few types of fillers:
1. Hyaluronic Acid based – for volume enhancement; Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin and lasts up to 12 months. Our favorite products are Restylane collection, Revanesse Versa and the RHA collection for lips, tear trough, facial countering.
2. Poly- L- Lactic Acid based – Collagen inducers and volumizers – like Sculptra. Each treatment brings 20% volume and 40% skin texture improvements and can be used complementary with fillers and requires 3-4 treatments. Popular for facial diffuse volume loss, Brazilian Butt Lift or larger areas of skin texture rejuvenation like decolte, underarms.
3. Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHa) – Radiesse® – based fillers are collagen inducers and volumizers. Our favorite product for check enhancement. CAHA is a naturally occurring substance, found primarily in our bones. They are much thicker than HA fillers, ideal for checks and jaw line/face contouring enhancement, and hyper-diluted for its collagen inducing properties for lower side of the face, temples, neck, hands, underarms and buttocks lift. Results last around 12 months.
4. Bio-filler with Plasma Gel is a ground-breaking regenerative procedure that can be used to restore youthfulness to your face, neck, or hands. While they last only 4-6 months, they are a natural alternative to the HA fillers. It uses a gel derived from your own blood. It is ideal for vegans, people who suffer from allergies or for starters.
