This procedure is noninvasive, meaning it does not require surgery, and patients can resume their regular activities, including sexual intercourse, on the same day as the treatment session.

Moreover, there is no downtime, and sexual activity can typically be resumed the day after the procedure.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE:

Platelet extraction from blood: A blood sample is taken from the patient and processed in a centrifuge machine to concentrate the healing components into platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Local anesthesia: To minimize discomfort, a local anesthetic is applied to the treatment area before the injection is administered.

PRP injection: After the local anesthesia is applied, the physician injects the PRP directly into the penis using a tiny needle. This process aims to stimulate muscle tissue and blood vessel regeneration, initiating the natural healing process.

Aftercare and expectations: The physician may also schedule future treatment sessions based on the severity of erectile dysfunction (ED) or discuss realistic timelines for expected results.

TIMEFRAME FOR RESULTS

While some patients may experience immediate results after receiving the P-Shot, others may require more time for their ED symptoms to improve. Most patients start noticing significant changes in their sexual health within three to four weeks after the procedure, with the longest waiting period being around three months.

It is essential to keep in mind that the body’s response to PRP and tissue regeneration may vary from patient to patient. Therefore, multiple treatment sessions may be recommended to encourage optimal regeneration at least one month apart.
